The custom CSS that we input under Specular > General Options loads BEFORE the theme CSS. I think it should load after, so it is a more effective override for theme styles without having to go crazy with !important declarations.
I’m running Specular which I downloaded today.

Hello,
The theme styles load before the custom ones. But there are dynamic theme styles, generated via php, that load in the end. That’s why some times you need to use !important. But that is not necessary for all custom css code. You just have to find the right css class to edit.
Best regards!

I have the same problem. There should be an option to switch off the dynamic-css styles altogether so I can style everything without the ugly “!important”.
