Hi
I am close to achieving a site based on the Specular theme that I am prepared to make public and extend later. The site is media-matters.co.uk
However, I have run into a similar problem on different pages. Although I think I have followed the instructions and your documentation there are certain changes that I can’t make and in one case what I have uploaded does not display. In detail:
1. In Portfolio items I cannot find a way of deleting or changing the small heading “Project description” above the custom field titles and I cannot add a custom field without using “Date” or one of the other field titles. Otherwise these posts do what I want so it is frustrating not to be able to finish them.
2. Similarly, in Faq I cannot delete the categories I don’t want to display e.g. Configuration, customization (I can’t even change it to an English spelling!). There does not seem to be anywhere to access the code.
3. Finally, I have created a Revolution slider for the home page and placed it as instructed – the icon shows up correctly – but the slider does not work at all and I cannot see why not.
Your advice would be much appreciated.
Thanking you in advance

Hello,
1. According to the type of portfolio item you are using, please find and edit these titles in the files:
\includes\view\portfolio\single-container.php
\includes\view\portfolio\single-floating.php
\includes\view\portfolio\single-fullwidth.php
\includes\view\portfolio\single-gallery.php
Watch this video tutorial for more information on how to use custom fields.2. To not display the category you don’t want to be shown, add this code to your custom CSS box:
#faq-filter ul li:nth-child(2) a { display: none; }
This code removes the Configuration category, you can proceed the same if you want to remove other categories.
3.Did you select one of the Revolution Slider you created on Page Settings > Slider Options? I see that no slider is selected on your home page.
Let us know if one of the issues persist.
Then you can send us your credentials to give it a closer look.Best regards!

Hi Kris
Thank you -item 2 is now resolved and I will try item 1 shortly.
The Revolution slider is a bigger issue. My screen grab won’t embed in this message but on my Home Page in Visual Composer I have the Revolution slider logo in the relevant row with the name of the slide I have made – “Revolution slider 2” – but nothing appears on the web page.

Many thanks

Hello,
The Revolution slider does not have any issue by itself. I imported one of the pre-created and included sliders and set it in you home page instead of your own slider. It does display without problem. So i’m guessing that is an issue of the slider you created, not Revolution slider itself.
I imported some of the other included sliders. You can edit them out with your own images.Best regards!

Thank you – that’s a useful way of working.
Although I still can’t see what’s wrong with my slider.
