I recently updated my layer slider to the latest version that was available via the most recent specular update and all was fine until i tried to change a slide within an existing slider. Once I did that, the slider disappeared from my blog page, https://blog.contv.com/news/, leaving a blank space where it has once been. I have removed the slider from this page for now so that the content isn’t being pushed down below where the slider should be.
The other thing that I noticed is in the plugin menu, i am now seeing this message.
I tried switching to the revolution slider on https://blog.contv.com/news/, but that gives an error. I don’t believe this slider has ever worked with this specific template for some reason.
Any help would be appreciated.

Hello,
We have tested Layer slider and it does not have any issue with the theme. If you succesfully used it before this issue, what makes you say “I don’t believe this slider has ever worked with this specific template for some reason”?
Did you made any other changes to theme recently? Send us your wp credentials in a private reply. So we can give it a closer look.Best regards!

Hello,
I see you have the Version: 1.0.11 of Specular while the latest version is vs 1.5.1. When did you last updated theme? Did you do a full update or partial?
I see you have set as blog page, a portfolio page. This is not correct. I also failed to see the Page Template option in Page Attributes (your page; default)
Please update theme and Visual Composer in their latest versions first.
Let us know so we can check this again.
-This topic is specifically for only the blog page. However now the Revolution Slider has no issue displaying in all pages.Best regards!

I have done a full update of specular and wordpress and I still am having the same issues with the sliders (Layer and Revolution)
I am afraid I don’t follow what you mean by “<span style=”color: #393d40; font-family: ‘Open Sans’, ‘Helvetica Neue’, Helvetica, Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 14px; line-height: 22px;”>you have set as blog page, a portfolio page” </span>
I am using the blog/timeline layout.

Hello,
This is strange. I inspected the slider with inspect element and it doesn’t load at all the images. So it can not be fixed with css code.
We have tested both plugins on our side multiple times. They are fully compatible with theme.
You have many third party plugins installed. One of them my be conflicting with theme code. Try deactivating them all, and leave only the default ones (the included in theme package). Then enable one at a time to find the one causing this issue.
– By “you have set as blog page, a portfolio page” i mean that the page used as blog has portfolio setups(screenshot). This should not be in a normal (not portfolio page).
Let us know.Best regards!
