Hi,
I am currently using the Tower theme and have been trying to disable the auto responsive layout option.
The responsiveness feature has been disabled from the settings, however, it seems to have no effect and the layout still changes depending on the screensize. The url for the website is http://www.polymerfactory.com
It will be great if you could assist us in this.
Thank you

Hello,
Please clear cache and refresh page. I just checked your site and it is indeed not responsive.
Best regards!

Hi Mihaila.
Thank you, i have cleared the cache and it works great now on my mobile device. (ie the layout doesn’t shift).
However, on my computer browser, the layout still shifts depending on the window size. I am rather confused by this.
Why does is it non-responsive on the mobile but yet still response on the computer browser window? Thanks!

Hello,
No, it is the same but you need to clean computer cache as well. it may be displaying a stored version of your site that does not have the final changes. If it displays ok in mobile device, then it is ok.
Best regards!

Hi, it is still not ok.
I have cleared all the cache in my computer as well as the browser.
I have even tried using a public computer that is on incognito mode.
When I change the screen size, it responses again. The menu bar changes into the small blue icon at the top right hand corner instead of the original black header and my entire layout shifts.
The scroll bar also does not appear.
This happens on every single page of our website. The responsiveness layout setting in administration has now been turned off for at least 3 weeks.

Hello,
Please add these lines at the end of the file functions.php(before ?>):
add_action( 'wp_enqueue_scripts', 'remove_default_stylesheet', 20 ); function remove_default_stylesheet() { wp_dequeue_style( 'bootstrap-responsive' ); wp_deregister_style( 'bootstrap-responsive' ); }
Best regards!

Dear Ruco,
Thank you for the code, now the menu does not respond, which is fantastic.
However, the website itself compresses in a strange way when the window is made smaller, making text and tables look very squeezed and cuts off some of the edges of the siteYou can take a look at this screenshot to see what i mean as compared to the original screenshot.
How can we make the website not scale to the window size and instead adopt the more traditional method of a east-west scroll-bar instead.
Thanks

Hello,
The table needs css that is removed by the code added in last reply. This happens because all the responsive bootstrap css has been removed from the site.
If you do not want to reverse back the latest changes then edit the table view with custom css.Best regards!
