Hi there,
I am constructing a portfolio at zpcreative.net, and the images I have uploaded so far appear blurry when viewed in the portfolio slider e.g. https://zpcreative.net/codeless_portfolio/identity-package-design/
All of the images are 977x403px and 72ppi. I have tried uploading higher res images which has produced little to no improvement.
Could you please advise a way to remedy this?

Hi,
I am struggling to resolve this on my own. Are you able to give me some more specific guidance? I am not confident in tinkering with my functions.php and my attempts so far (on a child theme) have only produced errors.
Thanks!

Hello,
I can not access your site as it is in coming soon mode so i can not see what type of portfolio do you have chosen, but the logic is this:
Suppose that you have a portfolio with grayscale style and in three columns. In file functions.php you will find this line:add_image_size( ‘port3_grayscale’,825, 340, true );
This is responsible to resize all your portfolio images to 825px width/340px height. If you want other dimensions, then simply change the values. Example:add_image_size( ‘port3_grayscale’,900, 500, true );
and save.
Now on, all portfolio images will be cropped down to 900x500px.
Next step is to upload once again the current images, or install and run a plugin that recreates thumbnails.Best regards!

Hello again,
Sorry to be so persistent, I’ve managed to reduce my site down to nothing more than a blank screen twice now attempting to rectify this problem!
I have removed coming soon mode so you can view the portfolio. I also found the code in the functions.php file as below. I don’t want to necessarily change the image size, just make my images fit the existing size so they view clearly. I believe I am using Portfolio 2, and adjusted my images to 460 x 275 accordingly only to make them look worse. I then changed them to the Portfolio 2 grayscale size 940 x 470 which saw an improvement, however I am still unhappy with how blurred they are e.g. <span style=”color: #666666; font-family: ‘Open Sans’, sans-serif; line-height: 24px; background-color: #f1f1f1;”> </span><span id=”sample-permalink” style=”color: #666666; font-family: ‘Open Sans’, sans-serif; line-height: 24px; background-color: #f1f1f1;”>https://zpcreative.net/codeless_portfolio/<span id=”editable-post-name” style=”font-weight: bold;”>corporate-identity-2</span>/</span><span style=”color: #666666; font-family: ‘Open Sans’, sans-serif; line-height: 24px; background-color: #f1f1f1;”> </span>
Could you suggest any way to improve this?
Thanks you!
add_image_size( ‘port3’, 600, 600, true );
add_image_size( ‘port3_grayscale’, 627, 470, true );
add_image_size( ‘port2’, 460, 275, true );
add_image_size( ‘port2_grayscale’, 940, 470, true );
add_image_size( ‘port4’, 600, 600, true );

Hello,
Sorry for the late reply.
I don’t see any issue here. You could increase the scaling ratio(so the image won’t get cut off) and then decrease image width with css. Just add this code into your custom css box:
.portfolio-item.overlayed img {width: 95% !important;}
If you send us your wp credentials in a private reply, I can make a test page to display you this.
Let us know.Best regards!

Hello,
I can not access admin panel. It redirects to “Page Not Found”. The portfolio images look ok, not blurred (screenshot). Would you please send us a screenshot of the result you want? So i can better understand you.
let us know.Best regards!

Hello,
The images in these single portfolio items, are smaller than they should. This causes the image to stretch to fit the new dimensions of single portfolio item. Increase more the dimensions set up in the functions.php file and upload images again.
Example: from 825px to at least 1000px width. Let us know.Best regards!
