When I attempt to add a video to the Service Media element using my video’s permalink, it does not show up correctly.
If i use the file link, I just get the source code showing.
Is there a way for the video to show as pretty as the pictures do?

Hello,
Please add the video in youtube and paste the youtube link into it. We will fix this in the next theme update. Sorry for the inconvenience!
Let us know.Best regards!

Thanks for incorporating this into the theme update. Is there a way to get rid of the control bar at the bottom (the play/pause/download)?

Hello,
You can remove the control bar using custom css. Can i see a page where are you using this?
Best regards!

Hello,
In file vc_templates/services_media.php i edited out this block of code:
if($type == 'self_hosted'){ if(!empty($self_hosted_mp4)){ $output .= '<video autoplay controls> <source src="'.trim($self_hosted_mp4).'" type="video/mp4"></video>'; } if(!empty($self_hosted_webm)){ $output .= '<video autoplay controls> <source src="'.trim($self_hosted_webm).'" type="video/webm"> </video>'; } }
to this:
if($type == 'self_hosted'){ if(!empty($self_hosted_mp4)){ $output .= '<video autoplay> <source src="'.trim($self_hosted_mp4).'" type="video/mp4"></video>'; } if(!empty($self_hosted_webm)){ $output .= '<video autoplay> <source src="'.trim($self_hosted_webm).'" type="video/webm"> </video>'; } }
The control bar is removed from the video now. Let us know.
Best regards!
