Greetings! I have a couple of technical issues that I need assistance with:
– Revolution Slider, shadow not working. I looked online and it says it has something to do with minify, but I’m not having luck fixing it.– Adding the search bar (not the search icon, but the whole search field) to the navigation bar, when the navigation bar is set to Simple Style, transparency on.The site is https://megagroupinvestigations.com/ wp/homepage. Thanks!- This topic was modified 8 years, 7 months ago by Mirela. Reason: html tags

Hello,
How are you trying to add the shadow?
For the Search, you can enable top widget bar and add the search widget there. Remove the current from the header by editing file header.php. Find and remove these files:<a class="right_search open_search_button" href="#"> <i class="icon-search"></i> </a>
Best regards!

For the shadow, I’m simply turning it on in the Revolution Slider settings, but no matter what I do, it won’t show up. How do I get a shadow to show up under the slider?
Thanks,
– Daniel

Hello,
Please add these lines into your custom css box:
.tp-bannershadow.tp-shadow1 { z-index: 9999; top: 540px; }
Best regards!

I’m having the same problem when I add slider to other pages. Can you tell me how to add a shadow to this page? Or what I need to do code-wise to add a shadow to every instance of using a Revolution Slider? I’m planning on having one on each page.
Thanks!

Hello,
Please add this code into your custom css box:
.tp-bannershadow { z-index: 9999; top: 419px; }
Let me know how it will affect the other pages.
Best regards!

Close, unfortunately the shadow is static, and when everything else on the page moves, the shadow stays in place. Also the shadow I have for the main page is 1, this looks like 2. Any other ideas?
Thanks,

Hello,
It’s shadow2 because you have selected another type of shadow for that slider. The shadow does not have a animation property. The code i gave you should work for all sliders if you have them in the same height.
Best regards!

Unfortunately it doesn’t work. The shadow stays exactly 419px from the top, regardless of how large the rest of the elements are, so when the screen shrinks, and everything reduces in size, the shadow stays 419px from the top, overlapping the text or whatever below the slider.
Thanks for the tip on changing the setting for each slider tho! I should’ve thought of that.
I can’t leave the shadow on at the moment, but here’s a screenshot:

Hello,
You can always set the value in percentage(%), but normally the shadow does not have any of these issues. It shows when set to display and is responsive for all screen resolutions.
Do you mind sending us your wp credentials in a private reply? So we can give it a closer look.Best regards!

I’m also getting the floating shadow showing up permanently now, despite the fact that I deleted the code you gave me, and cleared my cache.
-
Not on the homepage, but on every other page…
-
So I deleted both pieces of CSS that you gave me, that stopped the floating shadow from appearing on any of the pages, but it also removed the shadow completely from the homepage.
I just want the shadow to show up, on the homepage slider, and every interior page.
Thanks,
– Daniel

Hello,
I edited the above code to this:
.tp-bannershadow.tp-shadow1 { z-index: 9999; }
I tested it in different screen sizes and it displayed with ok in all.
Best regards!
