Hi:
The Visual Composer back-end editor is not showing in my dashboard. Could you please help?
I have tried to deactivate and delete the WPBakery – Visual Composer plug-in; this has not been fruitful as it doesn’t delete the plugin.
Also, how do I update to the latest version of the theme- and would I use the current content uploaded into the website. When I click on the update link from themeforest, I am directed to the page to download the theme from scracth – which is causing me concern about all the content and work already put in.
Thanks,
Frank

Hello,
You probably updated wordpress (or got an autoupdate), however you have to update theme and Visual Composer too. I order for the back-end to show up again.
Updating theme will overwrite all theme files located under wp-content/themes/specular folder in your server. So if you have made direct changes to theme files, we recommend to save a backup of them.
As for the content and any custom css code you have added in your custom css box, those will not be affected by the update.
Please read these article for more information on the process:
–update theme
–update Visual Composer
Let us know if you have further questions.Best regards!

This worked great, thank you.
For others addressing the same problem:
I had to keep logging out of WordPress after every step in the -Update Visual Composer instructions, for the changed to take effect.
So I updated the theme, and logged out. Then deactivated the WPBakery plugin and logged out. Then again, deleted the plugin and logged out. Finally, at the next login, I saw the option to intall the WPBakery plugin, and then activated it. This got the Visual Composer working.
Thanks Mihaila, and Codeless team.
