Hi Mihaila,
Thanks for the update. We’ll avoid using VC in posts.
Just to confirm, though – will Visual Composer be usable in posts in an upcoming update?
Hi Mihaila,
Thanks for the update.
I guess I’m just surprised – we’ve used Visual Composer on posts before to add photos and to lay out the post in rows/columns, and this is the first issue we’ve run into.
Do you happen to know if there are any VC elements that we should be avoiding? Other than the testimonial carousel of course.
Hi Mihaila,
I’ve added WP Credentials in my profile data. You should be able to access the back end of the website now. The issue seems to be in the “First ever Ottawa Food Security Conference well received” post. The Testimonial Carousel VC Element breaks the front end of the website. If we remove it from the blog post, the front end of the website starts to display properly again.
Thanks.
Hi there,
We’ve done a bit more digging and it seems to be the Testimonial Carousel VC element that is causing the issue. We’ve removed them from the blog post we were using and the site seems to be working fine now. I suppose at this point I’m just wondering if this issue will be resolved in an upcoming theme release.
Thanks.
in reply to: Classes on visual composer text blocksHere is another example of how my extra class names are not working on the new version but did work on the previous versions. See the three colored buttons that are sitting on top of the main slider on the home page.
https://ofbdemo.designpreview.ca/ – no background color on my buttons
https://ofbdev.designpreview.ca/ – blue, green and orange colors on my buttons
in reply to: Lost all pages after theme updateSame issue when I updated the theme on my cloned backup. Main slider on home stopped functioning, no page content loaded, main nav appeared but positioning was not vertically correct anymore. Hoping this can be resolved and that the site will perform better once updated. Load times are brutal albeit I am not using caching yet.
