Hello,
My website keeps formatting incorrectly (completely random). I don’t think it’s the server connection because all the scripts are loading (via the network tab when inspecting) and I never get 404’s.
Example of the page loading incorrectly: https://imgur.com/q9l6gzJ

Do you think deleting parts of the theme in theme editor will help? (the parts I’m not using)
Thanks!
Ralph

Hello,
You have an error in your site. Please see screenshot. It is caused by a js file of plugin “Reinbursement calculator tool”. Please deactivate it and try again.
Let us know.Best regards!

Deactivated it and I am still receiving the same problem. I have also upgraded my server and that didn’t seem to help. We aren’t receiving any traffic as we changed the domain as we work on the site.

Hello,
I accessed your site multiple times but never got the misalignment. From what browser are you accessing it? This is not a theme issue. There are files and js scripts that apparently in your case they may not be loaded in time or at all. And this affects the layout.
You should contact your host and check out the loading time and memory allocated to your site. You may need to increase them.
Deleting theme elements, will not give any effect on this issue.Best regards!

Chrome/Safari/Edge
I’ll contact my host and will update if I find the solution.
Thank you!

4 Cores + 4G Memory and there’s only 1-2 people viewing the site at most (not live yet).
Is that not sufficient enough?
-
Hello,
That is enough memory. Please see a screenshot of how does your site look opened from our side: screenshot. The layout is perfect.
Do you have any add-ons installed in your browser? Uninstall them, clear cache and try again.Best regards!

It looks fine at certain times, but if you keep refreshing every few minutes to check, the format will mess up.
I don’t think it’s any of my browser add-ons because this happens on different browsers on different computers.
Can the problem be a plugin? I don’t think I installed any that weren’t recommended.

Any update on this? I can’t seem to fix it and it’s the only thing needed before my website goes live.
Thanks,
Ralph

Hello,
Sorry for the late reply.
Indeed the error message from the Jotform is not present anymore. In fact there is no error whatsoever in your site. And every time we access it, it’s perfect (like the screenshot i send you above). Even after several refreshes, the layout is still the same.
I search some more about it and it looks like in some versions of google chrome this is caused by the Mime Type of the stylesheet.
There are three ways in which Chrome seems to load the CSS file:
1-As a fresh request, no cached version available, the server returns HTTP 200 OK, with content-type text/css. This works fine.
2-From the cache, without consulting the server. Chrome has cached content-type text/css. This works fine.
3-As a request with a cached version available. The server returns HTTP 304 Not Modified, with content-type text/plain. This does not work.I found out that responses without body (like 304) SHOULD not contain a content-type header: https://www.w3.org/Protocols/rfc2616/rfc2616-sec10.html#sec10.3.5 .
The fact is that the response coming from the server is not served correctly.
A 304 answer SHOULD not contain a “body” and the “content-type” header so the bug is on the server and not on the client (yes of course Chrome could ignore the “content-type” but this is another story).
You have to fix the server in order to either remove the content-type or try to set “content-type” to “text/css”.PS: i refreshed your site several times and i always got the HTTP 200 OK header
Best regards!
