I am using the single page navigation with page anchors but I have an interior page that needs to be able to navigate back to the main homepage. If I set the custom links in the main navigation to the root level URLs the menu items are all shown as active. I have a second menu setup but no way to make it active on the portfolio.php page. I was looking through the support forum and there was someone who asked a similar question but it was a few years ago. The response to the questions said there would need to be some conditionals added to header.php to add different menus in different pages. Here is the interior page in question: https://terranaut.staging.wpengine.com/gallery. How do I go about setting this up?

Hello,
Sorry but theme supports only one main menu. To add more, implies custom coding which is not included in support service.
I suggest you hire a freelance dev to help you customize theme to your needs.Best regards!

There is no budget for custom development. Why would there be mention of coding in the header.php file in the response on read on the other support item (posted by gilelegado, I can’t seem to locate the URL for that support item) if you don’t give people that much assistance. If there is only the option for one menu then how do I go about using on interior pages without having all of the nav items reading as active on the homepage. Surely you tested for this? I can’t be the first person to use a one-page setup but include one standalone interior page.

Hello,
Please watch this video tutorial to understand better how to set up a one page:
Please know that the one page is designed to have the entire site set in one single page. It is not it’s default structure to have external pages as well.
Check out these related topics for reference:

https://support.codeless.co/?topic=use-menu-as-one-page-menuTheme only supports one menu. Adding more is considered a change/customization based on your own preference to set up the site. Personal customizations are not included in support.

I apologize for being blunt but I am extremely familiar with WordPress and how to setup a one-page site using it. There are occasions that arise on some projects that necessitate the use for both types of structures in order to accomplish what the client is asking for. The client wants a large image gallery so it won’t fit within a single page format without making that section extremely long so it lives on a standalone page instead. I need the navigation so still work as it does on the homepage so I will figure out a way to insert my own navigation bar on the portfolio.php page.

I was able to pull the code for the header and header image that was appearing on the Gallery page and insert it manually into the page. That allowed me to hide the regular header that was appearing and be able to code the menu items so they linked correctly. Here is the final page: https://terranaut.staging.wpengine.com/gallery/
