The bottom line of my testimonials gets cut off when the website first loads screen shot. When looked at on mobile, even more of the testimonials get cut off. Also my footer is cut off on the sides in mobile.
In addition, I am wanting to get a social media (twitter) icon on the homepage and it is not showing up either.
Lastly, please see my lingering problem with portfolio image quality.
Thank you.

Hello,
I added this code into your custom css box:
.testimonial_carousel .item { min-height: 189px !important;} @media (max-width: 480px){ .testimonial_carousel { min-height: 400px !important; }}
Please check your site.
Where exactly are you trying to add the twitter social?Best regards!
-
Testimonials still getting cut off on mobile as well as my footer. Can you also tell me why one of my testimonials seems to have a large margin on the left and the right?
As for the social media, I was just trying to use the default placement which I assume was in the header.
-
Hello,
Sorry for the late reply.
I added this code into your custom css box:@media (max-width: 480px){ .testimonial_carousel{min-height:289px !important;} footer .inner .widget { margin-left: 17% !important; width: 65% !important; } }
It will give a initial minimum height to testimonials in mobile and decrease the footer widget content. Also it will center it.
Unfortunately the first testimonial is not complete and this is not something we can fix with just css. I have send this topic to our developers and they are working on a new theme update. We will include a fix for this in the next theme update. We require your patience until then.
Thank you!

Has a solution been found for the first of my testimonials still getting cut off (it is especially prevalent on mobile)?
-
Hello,
Please update theme to it’s latest version(2.3.2). The testimonials on load is fixed there. See the latest update change log here: https://themeforest.net/item/specular-responsive-multipurpose-business-theme/9412083?s_rank=2
Let us know.Best regards!
-
How exactly do I do that and will it screw anything else up? I am launching on Thursday?
-
Hello,
Please read more on how to update theme in the theme’s online documentation: https://codeless.co/documentation/main.html#update_theme
All the theme’s files and folders will be overwritten from the update. If you have made direct changes to theme files, then we strongly suggest to keep a backup of theme folder (you can just rename the old folder and then upload the new version).
As for your site’s content (pages, posts) and settings, they are stored in the database so the update will not affect any of it.
Let us know if you have further questions.Best regards!

I am going live tomorrow and I am afraid this is beyond my knowledge level and I don’t want to risk losing things at this point. Is there any way you can help me?
-
Hello,
I imported the latest theme version in your site. Please go to Appearance > Themes. The new version is with title “Tower 2.0” (screenshot). All you have to do now is activate this copy. If you change your mind and want the old version back, then switch to your old theme by activating it again.
Please know that by changing themes, nothing will change in your site’s content. That is all stored in the database and it’s independent from the theme files.
Let us know.Best regards!
-
Well, I did it and just like I feared, it screwed my formatting up. There was a lot of placeholder info that I didn’t know how to get rid of (above the header and in the footer) and my customer footer was gone all together. Is there a way just to fix the testimonial portion?
-
Hello,
Yes, get only these files from the new theme update folder:
vc_templates/testimonial_carousel.php
vc_templates/testimonial_cycle.php
js/main.js
and replace them in your current theme. It will overwrite the current files and fix the issue. All other files will remain intact.Best regards!
-
How do I get those files without installing it? And then where exactly do I replace them?
-
Hello,
You need to have a ftp account. Go to the theme files using this path: wp-content/themes/specular. Here you have listed all theme’s folders and files (screenshot). Overwrite only these files.
The testimonial_carousel.php / testimonial_cycle.php files in folder vc_templates/ and main.js file in folder js.
Read more regarding partial theme update in the theme’s online documentation:

I pushed back my launch (which was supposed to happen last week) until tomorrow and I am not comfortable with my ability to make these changes without screwing something up at the last minute. Since this is correcting a flaw in the theme, can you make the change for me? (As long as you can guarantee that it won’t do anything else to my page but keep my first testimonial from getting cut off. If there is any risk of causing additional issues, please don’t do it).
Thank you!
-
Hello,
I fixed it.
Please clear cache and check your site from a mobile device.Best regards!
-
How do I bump up the type of the testimonials in the carousel?
-
Hello,
Sorry but i don’t understand your question. What exactly do you need to do?
PS: Please keep in mind to always open new ticket for new question. This is an old ticket already resolved and the original issue is not related to the new question.
Thank you for understanding!
Best regards! -
I just want to enlarge the type in my testimonial carousel on the homepage.
Thanks.
-
Hello,
You can customize the testimonials using custom css. Add the code into your custom css box. Sorry but personal customizations are not included in support.
Best regards!
-
I’m not really wanting to customize anything. The type is just a little hard to read and I want to make it just a bit bigger.
-
Hello,
Can you please be more specific? Is it this that you want to increase the font of? See screenshot: https://pho.to/Al5ji
Let us know.(a screenshot would be very helpful)Best regards!
-
I was looking at moving my testimonials, but once again they all get cut off, is there a way to enlarge the container?
-
Hello,
Yes, and that is done already in previous replies questions. Check out your Custom css box and find all css related to testimonials. In one of them you should have the height set up (for mobile the
@media
rule should be present). Edit it out to your need.*Please consider renewing your support to receive further help from us.
Best regards!
-
I tried inserting the code in the “Additional CSS” area in the customizer, but nothing happened. Also, I never got my question resolved involving increasing the size of the type within the testimonials.
I may consider renewing my support, but this seems to be an issue with the theme, not mere customization on my end.
Thank you.
-
After further review, it looks like it is mainly just not displaying some of the people’s names/titles while shorter testimonials display fine.
-
Hello,
Please add this code fro the testimonials height:
.testimonial_carousel_element .caroufredsel_wrapper { height: 265px !important; }
Regarding the testimonials size of the type, you never replied back to answer the last question from our side. However, add this code into your custom css box, to change the font size of text and author’s font:
.testimonial_carousel .item p {font-size: 15px !important;} .testimonial_carousel .item .param h6 {font-size: 15px !important;}
You have an old theme version now. Please update theme and all it’s included plugins. It’s strongly recommended to keep everything up to date in order to not have issues and have a secure site.
All custom css added in custom css box, does not get affected by theme update.
Let us know.Best regards!
