Dear codeless support,
I set the codeless speed to (for example) 10000, but nothing happens, how can I change the speed of the slides changing?
Already tried this: https://support.codeless.co/?ht_kb=how-to-change-slider-speed
This does not change anything…Already tried this: https://support.codeless.co/?topic=codeless-slider-speed-2
This only made the animation slower, but does not actually let it sit on the same slide for a longer period of time…I hope you can help me! Any change in code is acceptable, but everytime the theme updates, I need to set it up again.. So if there is another solution, that would be great! But I would also be happy if it is just working :).
Kind regards,

Hi,
The Speed parameter is the “Duration of transition between slides (in ms)”
To go to the secure way, please do this:Go to js/codeless-main.js if you are using the latest Specular version -> Go to line 1305, should be speed: c_speed,
After change c_speed to 800 for example or 10000
Let me know if this works. Make sure to do a hard refresh and clear cookie after changes.
Thanks!

Hi,
I changed the c_speed at js/codeless-main to 10000 and only the slider speed is changing (meaning the transition). I want to change the time the slider stays on one slide without changing. Now the changing speed (so, the sliding motion) is just a lot slower.
Kind regards,
Tim de Jong

Sorry, the latest version of the slider has changed the param.
after “c_speed,” add this:
autoplay: { delay: 5000, },
add the needed delay
Thanks

How do you get this to work. I can’t seem to delay the speed of one slide to the next no matter what I do.
EDIT:
I think it was a caching issue.
Working now:codelessSlider = new Swiper(‘.codeless_slider’,{
slidesPerView: slide_per_view,
paginationAsRange: false,
loop: false,
touchRatio: 0.7,
speed: c_speed,
autoplay: {
delay: 10000,
},- This reply was modified 3 years, 4 months ago by PaulBart74.

Can anyone recommend how to do this in a child theme?
Unless I’m mistaken, if I modify the /specular/js/codeless-main.js file, then my mods will be overwritten when/if the theme is updated.

Hi,
Yes you can override that function or write your own code through child theme. Because custom changes [made directly within main theme] will be lost upon theme update.
Thanks
