I had to pay a developer to uncover this problem. I now updated my theme and have the same problem. My layersliders on all my pages are now the same. (putting what developer told me in reply to this thread since it seems to mess up this post when I submit)
I have followed up with the makers of Layerslider and they have concluded that this is a Theme issue.
** Also I just bought support the other day and not sure why it says expired..

Hello,
Please keep the Layerslider version included in theme. Which is vs 6.5.5. Theme is fully compatible with it, but we have not yet tested it with the latest version (6.6.1). The included version of the slider has no issues and is compatible with theme.
We will check and test the newest plugin update and make the necessary changes for it to work flawlessly with theme, in future updates.
Or use it as an element from Visual Composer. Like in this test page: https://financemyproject.com/test-codeless/
Let us know.Best regards!

Is the best way to revert back to version within the theme, to delete plugin then follow prompts to redownload it? Instead of downloading the plugin or updating it myself?

Hello,
Go to your wp-content/plugins folder in the server by using a ftp or cpanel account. Find and rename the current Layerslider plugin folder. This will automatically deactivate the plugin. The files although are still there in case you want to use this version again later.
Next step, go to wordpress dashboard. You will see the message prompting you to install included plugins (like you did the first time you installed theme). The Layerslider will be among them. Follow the instructions and install slider once again. This version will be the one included in theme.
Let us know.Best regards!

Hi Mihaila,
I followed your directions and this did not solve the problem. Regardless of the settings within each page, the slider will shows the same slider.

My developer stated this:
In the core theme file codeless_slideshow, layer_slider_id used to be assigned properly as
$cl_redata['layerslider']+1;
but after the theme update was set to a true/false is_numeric test + 1, which as the slider_id is always numeric would always return 1, and thus 1+1 = 2. So it would always pull the slider with id=2.- This reply was modified 6 years, 5 months ago by Mirela. Reason: html tags

Hello,
You are right! Thank you for noticing this.
I informed the developers and we will try to upload a theme update asap with the slider issue fixed.
In the mean time you can make the change directly into the theme file, so you won’t need to wait more.
In the same file includes/core/codeless_slideshow.php find this line:
$this->options['layer_slider_id'] = is_numeric($cl_redata['layerslider'])+1;
replace tith this:
$this->options['layer_slider_id'] = $cl_redata['layerslider']+1;
Best regards!

Thank you Mihaila. Please make sure this is in the next theme update. Appreciate it.

Hello,
@peterbouwmeester,
This edit has already been included in the latest releases of theme. What version are you running? Do you still have problem with it? Can you post a link of a page you have this?Best regards!
-
Hello Mihaila,
In version 2.6.1 in /specular/includes/core/codeless_slideshow.php on line 60 it says:$this->options['layer_slider_id'] = is_numeric($cl_redata['layerslider'])+1;
resulting in the wrong slideshow showing up, just as reported in the OP.
Since I’ve used a work around to show the proper slider I don’t have a page where you can see this error – and it would be hard for anyone to really know whether the shown slider is or is not intended to be shown anyhow.Kind regards,
Peter -
Hello,
You are right! Thank you for pointing it out and sorry for the inconvenience. I have reported this already and will included it in the next theme release.
Please edit the line to this:
$this->options['layer_slider_id'] = $cl_redata['layerslider']+1;
The slider would not have any issue after this.
Let us know.Best regards!
