After the most recent Tower theme update, I experienced a significant number of issues. The most pressing is that *none* of my hyperlinks, including menus, worked. When you click on what should be a link, nothing happens. I’ve tested this with multiple devices and browsers.
I cannot have my site dysfunctional, so I had to reinstall my backup. I’m uncertain how to replicate the problem for you, without leaving my website useless.

Hello,
Did you also update the included plugins after theme update? It is very important to update plugins along with theme for it to function properly. Please try again and let us know.
Best regards!

All of my plugins were updated, yes. I did that before I updated the theme. I updated Visual Composer separately (by deleting it entirely and re-adding it). According to my dashboard, all of my plugins were up to date when I was experiencing the issue.

Hello,
I can’t replicate the situation from my side. So you must install the new theme update again. You can rename the new version folder and add it in your wp-content/themes folder. So you have both versions installed and switch from one to another quickly.
Note: As far as i remember you had some customizations made to theme code in the past. By updating theme, all these changes are overwritten. So keep in mind that if any of these custom made functionalities does not work anymore, it’s due to theme update.
Let us know.
Best regards! -
Did you get this resloved Rebecca? I’m having the same problem

Hello,
@LBme, please follow the same instructions as per my last reply. Each site is different because it has different server and plugins installed (and/or additional code added to add specific functionalities).If you need our help, add some wp credentials in your profile. So we can check.

Hi Mirela,
Thanks for that. I followed previous instructions with no success. I have now updated my profile with login details.
Thanks in advance for your help!

Hello,
I see. I have forwarded this ticket to theme developers and we are checking on it now. We will update you asap.

Hello LBme,
Now i have fixed the issue for the moment. The issue is caused by the page loader effect Tower > General > Page Transition. I have tried to remove it from the Redux theme option but seems impossible because of an 500 error that need to be debug.
So i have remove the effect manually by editing the file functions-tower.php and replace this line:
if($cl_redata['codeless_page_transition']):
replace with:
if(!$cl_redata['codeless_page_transition']):
We will try to fix this issue within the next update.
Sorry for any inconvenience.
Regards!

Hello Rebecca,
I think the first thing you have to do is to switch off the Page Transition.
Let us know.

Hello – sorry for the late reply, it’s a busy time of year for us. I just installed the most recent version of the theme and followed the instructions above, and the issue is no longer occurring. Thanks!
