After a clean wordpress and Specular theme installation, the demo content for the OnePage demo is missing its menu items, the slider, and the side-bar menu items. I expected the demo to load and look and work just like [ https://codeless.co/specular/onepage/ ], but instead I end up with this [ https://test.anshuarya.com/ ].
There were no errors in any of the steps I did, which included the following:
- Install clean WordPress 4.7.3
- Install Specular theme v2.3.3 via zip file upload
- Activate, Run the Setup Wizard, selecting OnePage Demo Content
Am I missing some steps to getting the demo content for OnePage fully loaded?

Hello,
The demo was fully imported so there is no need to make further actions. All you need now are some customizations to make it look just like the demo. Customizations that are not possible to be included in the import process.
Please read this article for more: https://codeless.co/installed-demo-data-whats-next/Let us know if you need further help.
Best regards!

Thank you so much for your reply. That article appears to have gotten me 90% there, as you can see at [https://test.anshuarya.com]. I think a link to that article directly at the end of the setup wizard would help a lot! (or did I miss it somehow??)
However the 10% that still doesn’t work is fairly important:
1) The menus did not import. There is one menu created called “Menu 1”, but it has no items. So the top menu and the extra navigation in the side menu do not show any links.
2) Separators appear inside the text. For example if you scroll to the section that says “The #1 Real Multi-Site”, the blue separator line goes through the word “The”. This happens in the titles for other sections as well.
3) Minor, but the text in the section “Infinitely Possibilities” is missing. This is easily added, but it appears the demo content is broken compared to the online demo version shown at [https://codeless.co/specular/onepage/]
Is demo import just broken for the OnePage theme or have I still not done everything correctly? Will there be an update to this theme to fix these import problems?

Hello,
The article is not present in the setup wizard as it’s not part of theme settings. We wrote the article to help our customers since there were still questions on how to customize the site after the setup.
Please send us some valid wp credentials in a private reply so we can fix these for you. I will describe every change made so you can refer to them in the future.
Best regards!

I will send credentials immediately. Thank you so much. Please document the changes you make and hopefully make them available publically.

Hello,
1-The one page menu is different fro other demos because there are no direct pages you add to them, but sections. I added the menu items by adding Custom links, which consist of only the sections name.
See screenshot: https://pho.to/AfTSV2-I added this code into the home page’s custom css box:
.codeless_separator { margin-top: 35px !important; }
To align the Separators. See screenshot: https://pho.to/AfTTe
3-I already added the text. The element from what that text is added is already imported and present in the page. Please know that the import process is not entirely on theme. There are some server conditions that affect it. Such as file import max size limitations or execution time limit. If any of the server variables reaches it’s limit or even a small internet connection problem affects the process of data import. Leading to missing pages, posts or content. In some cases it prevents the complete import from proceeding.
All you have to do is read the documentation to understand the structure of theme and it’s features and watch the video tutorials. If you need further help, open a support ticket.
Let us know.Best regards!

Thank you, that covers mostly everything. I hope some of these fixes make their way into the next update.
Also, how do you make the mouse-over on the menu popup the two brackets?
-
Hello,
The menu with brackets is an old version of one page. We have removed it in quite some updates before. To reproduce it, i added this code at the end of your style.css file:
/* Effect 1: Brackets */ .background--dark nav .menu > li > a:hover { color: #0c93d6 !important; } .header_1 nav .menu > li > a::before, .header_1 nav .menu > li > a::after { display: inline-block; opacity: 0; -webkit-transition: -webkit-transform 0.3s, opacity 0.2s; -moz-transition: -moz-transform 0.3s, opacity 0.2s; transition: transform 0.3s, opacity 0.2s; } .header_1 nav .menu > li > a::before { margin-right: 10px; content: '['; -webkit-transform: translateX(20px); -moz-transform: translateX(20px); transform: translateX(20px); } .header_1 nav .menu > li > a::after { margin-left: 10px; content: ']'; -webkit-transform: translateX(-20px); -moz-transform: translateX(-20px); transform: translateX(-20px); } .header_1 nav .menu > li > a:hover::before, .header_1 nav .menu > li > a:hover::after, .header_1 nav .menu > li > a:focus::before, .header_1 nav .menu > li > a:focus::after { opacity: 1; -webkit-transform: translateX(0px); -moz-transform: translateX(0px); transform: translateX(0px); } .header_1 nav .menu > li:last-child a{padding-right:0; margin-right:0;} .sticky_header .header_wrapper.header_1{ -moz-box-shadow: 0 3px 5px rgba(0,0,0,0.04); -webkit-box-shadow: 0 3px 5px rgba(0,0,0,0.04); box-shadow: 0 3px 5px rgba(0,0,0,0.05); } /* End Header 1 */
Please check your site.
Best regards!
